The Edina Community Foundation Executive Committee fulfills its mission of Strengthening Our Community by encouraging philanthropic support of some 55 separate funds that provide general support to the Foundation, City Departments and community organizations for a wide variety of programs and activities. The Foundation awards grants from its Designated Funds on an as-needed basis, following the submission of a short-form Grant Application either in hard copy or electronic form. (Application forms are available at the bottom of this page.)

Using the same Grant Application mentioned above, plus supporting documentation as appropriate, eligible nonprofit organizations may apply for grants from the Foundation’s General Fund to support programs that will further the Foundation’s mission of Strengthening Our Community. The Foundation’s Grants Committee considers such applications three times a year, with application deadlines of May 15, September 15, and January 15. Recommendations from the Committee will be acted upon by the Board of Directors within six weeks of each of those dates.
